Today I'm explaining my favorite advanced watercolor technique.
I am painting on Saunders Waterford Cold Press 140lb paper. I have my surface tilted to 35 degrees. I use a variety of brands of brushes. I mainly stick to a large mop, medium round and smaller synthetic brush with a point.
Here are the list of pigments on my palette:
    Burnt Sienna
    Cadmium Red
    Cadmium Yellow Medium
    Cerulean Blue
    Cobalt Blue
    Cobalt Teal Blue
    Cobalt Turquoise
    Lavender
    Neutral Tint
    Payne's Gray
    Quinacridone Gold
    Raw Sienna
    Raw Sienna Light
    Raw Umber
    Rose Madder Permanent
    Ultramarine Blue
If you would like to purchase some of the brushes I feature in this video you can take a look at my Amazon Affiliate link: www.amazon.com...

Thank you for your wonderful lectures. I started learning water colors through your channel and made my first satisfactory painting following your tutorial. It gives me hope that someday I will be able to paint anything I want to paint in watercolors.

I've heard some of the best artists talk about connection. Your finished painting I loved. It was so calming an the sheep was a great idea. Karel here.

I really love your channel and your video editing. It’s very descriptive and I learn sooo much! The skill of simplifying is what I’m trying to build right now. I got quite good at painting illustrations, but I really want to move towards a more loose style painting and I’m struggling a lot as I got used to painting really tight and detailed

Very useful lesson. Again! Already my approach changed for the better. Just have to connect things more, but your lessons are pushing me to practise that. Thank you!

Thank you very much Matt - this is very helpful! A lot of art books stress the need to simplify. However but this the first time I’ve seen a demonstration on to actually do that! 🙏🏼

Hi Matthew. I was looking at joining your patron, but you haven't uploaded recently. Have you stopped making content for it? Is the old content still accessible?
